At HB Tutoring we work as a team of tutors, we are all qualified teachers and only teach within our specialist areas. We have specialised SEN teachers, SATS teachers, and examination officers, who teach higher-level students.

What does an HB Tutoring package consist of?

• 1-1 tutor
• All resources are provided.
• Personal login to our platform which covers both Maths and English, which covers primary through to GCSE. This allows students to maximise their learning even by accessing the platform 10 mins per day.
• Liaising with your child’s school (if you wish us to do so, here we will request the half termly plan, as well as any test results. Parents are copied into all correspondence with schools.
• A progress report will be sent out monthly to give you a detailed plan of work your child has completed, strengths and weaknesses which will be worked upon to turn into a strength.

Our success is based upon having qualified teachers who are able to teach within a specific area. Teachers must be qualified when it comes to tuition as it is so very easy to knock a child’s confidence by having the wrong teacher, or someone unqualified who is unable to implement the strategies to help children move forwards.

It can be detrimental to a child if a tutor is teaching one aspect of maths and the school are delivering maths lessons on a totally different topic. We, therefore, get the best results when children are taught the same topic at school, we are then able to reinforce the topic at home, and therefore increase confidence as well as improving their results.
